About Me:

I am a journalism senior at the University of Texas at Austin and have lived in Austin my whole life. I work for my university's daily newspaper as a news editor and I love to write and interview people, so I hope to be a reporter for a newspaper or magazine after I graduate. Traveling is a passion of mine and I have wanted to go to Africa for several years to serve in some manner. I am truly excited about this adventure and look forward to meeting all of the team members and growing together in faith and character.

Why I'm involved in Venture Expeditions:

I was attracted to the Kilimanjaro Trek because of the combination of physical activity and service work. I believe Venture Expeditions is an amazing organization and I agree with its mission and goals, so I felt this was a great match for me. My hope is to get a taste of Africa through this trip because I can see myself longing to go back and continue to serve and volunteer.
