Welcome to Venture Expeditions!

The Venture Community empowers people to benefit the world and discover their soul(s) through adventure-driven humanitarian efforts.

Benefit the World
Exploited, displaced, impoverished, orphaned… the stories of injustice in Asia compel us to design adventure expeditions and innovative campaigns that result in needs being met, restored dignity and hope in Christ. Through our work, we tell stories of injustice, mobilize active support, partner with organizations that affect change and work to establish sustainable "injustice-prevention" projects in Asia.

Discover the Soul
“It is not the mountain that we conquer, it is ourselves…” Venture is unashamedly challenging. It is through challenge that we test our character and discover what is really inside of us. Venture requires active sacrifice. It is through sacrifice that we learn to love people we have never met and discover our purpose in life. Venture leads us off the beaten path. It is through adventurous experiences in creation that we discover more about our creator God. Venture fosters reflection. It is by disconnecting from daily life and reflecting that we discover how to make the most of our days.

Venture Thus Far

Hi guys,

I want to introduce myself as Venture's new intern. As a journo major on work assignment for a 200-hour internship, I'm handling some of the outgoing online and print communications for Venture. I do other stuff I'll mention later.

...on our way out of town...

Friends,

Sunday: Our team joined with the people here at IEC (International Evangelism Center) in Sakila, Tanzania for church and relaxed for the day.

Monday: We went to the IEC Orphanage to visit with the children. The orphans were between the ages of 4 and 8, and many of them are orphaned due to AIDS.

Tuesday: We went to WAMATU which is an AIDS awareness/support system near Arusha. There we were able to see some of the programs that are… Continue

TEAM
Our cycling team consisted of Jimmy, Stephanie, Kelly & Kris.

TRIP
We started riding pretty soon after I landed in Dublin...June 23 (I was a day late b/c I missed my flight to London due to bad weather in Nashville). We rode 20 miles the first day to just outside of Bray, Ireland. We camped out in some people's yard and were tired after putting our bikes together and getting a bit of a late start. We got rained on off and on all a… Continue
